Robert Aldrich has spent more than twenty years working the roads, neighborhoods, and Main Streets of Fulton and Montgomery County as an independent insurance advisor at Bashwinger Insurance. He came up in this business at a time when the Mohawk Valley was still absorbing the economic changes that followed the decline of the glove industry in Gloversville and Johnstown, and he learned early that the families and small business owners here needed an advisor who understood their specific risks — not someone reading off a national script.

Robert's deepest expertise is in older housing. On the auto side, he specializes in rural drivers: the Route 30 commuters, the seasonal camp owners driving through Adirondack foothills, the contractors running pickup trucks across three counties. He's worked with carriers including Travelers, NYCM, Safeco, Utica National, and Eastern Mutual — and he knows the underwriting appetite of each well enough to make a first call, not a phone tree.
